refreshed Feb. 15, 2010 Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. Politics can be a rather dull subject, and lately it has also been depressing. The current administration and congress are offering us a bleak future for America. We were promised "hope" and "change" but have received something entirely different. We are in an era where extravagant waste and making poor investments is rewarded by the government with trillions of dollars for those who commit the waste. Our President, Barack Obama, is running an automobile manufacturing company instead of the citizens who own the company. Our Vice President, Joe Biden, considers it "patriotic" to pay taxes but the President picked a cabinet which mirrors the IRS Most Wanted list. Our Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, claims that she will “pole-vault over the wall” in order to get government-run health care passed. Oklahoma’s Second Congressional District’s representative, Dan Boren, voted to let the debt ceiling limit reach as high as $14.3 trillion and saddling future Oklahomans with a debt load they won’t be able to bear. The situation is dire and the time to act is now.
I am in my mid-twenties and in a time when my generation's fate is being sealed on Capitol Hill, I have decided to take action. I believe it is important for all ages to be active in our Republic and to voice their opinions. We are going to be affected by the regulations and policies the government is putting into effect for a long time. And for that reason, I encourage everyone to get involved. This is our future that is being debated on Capitol Hill. As long as you still have air in your lungs, you have a stake in this country and should vote. (The "air in your lungs" requirement is not necessary in some parts of the country).
I'm tired of the corruption, hypocrisy, and the career politicians who care more about themselves than the people they represent. I am not running for the sake of running. I am just a concerned citizen that is a firm believer in the old adage, "if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself." I have a plan which I hope you will take the time to read. My plan is to restore accountability to our leadership, to bring real reform where it matters most to you, and to restore the rights that belong to the States and the People. If you want a representative who is not afraid to rock the boat, then let’s get together and clean out the House on November 2, 2010. I look forward to working with you to bring a brighter future for America and for Oklahoma.
